What can you do with a degree in Design?
With a Design degree from the University of Huddersfield, you will have a wide range of career opportunities in graphic design and interior design. You can work as a designer, creative director or consultant in various industries, including advertising, marketing and architecture.
The problem-solving and creative skills you develop will also be applicable in roles such as UX/UI design, exhibition design, and design education. Additionally, you may find opportunities in packaging design, environmental design and design research, where your ability to create functional and aesthetically pleasing solutions is essential.

Dr Penny Sykes
Course Leader for the BA(Hons) Interior Design
Penny is Course Leader for the BA(Hons) Interior Design programme and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. She holds a BA(Hons) in Interior Design, a PGCHE, an MHED focused on employability in design students, and are currently undertaking an EdD.
Dr Stephen Hibbert
Senior Lecturer in Graphic Design and Motion
Stephen is a lecturer in Graphic Design and Animation at the School of Art, Design and Architecture. He teaches theory, process and studio practice to Year One students. His research explores how blending real and virtual worlds impacts human perception.
Dr Anneké Pettican
Subject Lead in Design
Anneké is an artist and Subject Lead in Design at the University of Huddersfield. As co-director of Brass Art, she explores the uncanny through immersive digital installations and has led AHRC-funded research and postgraduate supervision.
